The Constitutional Patriots met for their scheduled meeting at 7:00pm on August 31, 2009. Steve Huffman opened the meeting by welcoming everyone. He gave a very moving tribute to his wife Deedee who had passed away the week before and talked about the tremendous role she played in starting this organization back in July. Our deepest sympathies go out to Steve and his family. We will all miss Deedee.
Bill Daugherty then led us in prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Steve stressed that change is coming down fast from Washington and we need to arise to the occasion with everything that is in us.
Johanna Campbell gave update on our street fair booth and asked for volunteers to work during that time.
Melissa Lineberry talked about a planned trip to the Governor's office on Constitution Day - September 17th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. More information will be sent through e-mail.
Bob Houlihan talked about the local political process and how people can get involved.
Michael Yancey talked about our Constitution that protects our liberty and freedom and that tyranny gains when liberty is lost. We the people need to hold our legislators accountable on every account. TYRANNY CAN HAPPEN HERE.
Jason Seitz closed the meeting with a scripture reading .
Next meeting will be September 14 with the site to be announced.
